Who We Are
The Network is a statewide nonprofit dedicated to supporting victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. We believe abuse stems from the use of force or threats to control others, and we oppose all forms of violence as control.
Our programs and services are built on the belief that victims have the right to reclaim power through informed choices, and we are committed to empowering those impacted by domestic and sexual violence.
Mission
Working together to promote victims’ rights for a safer South Dakota.
Vision
Committed to advancing prevention endeavors, improving response efforts and advocacy by diligently working within our communities, across our State and in our Tribal Nations.
Our Story
The Network was established to bring together agencies, advocates, and community partners across South Dakota who share a common goal: ending domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking in our state
From our formation, we recognized that creating lasting change requires coordinated action. We began building partnerships between local service providers, law enforcement, healthcare systems, legal advocates, and community organizations to ensure survivors receive comprehensive, trauma-informed support
Over the years, our coalition has grown to encompass member agencies throughout South Dakota, each bringing unique expertise and local knowledge to our shared mission. Through collaboration, we have strengthened our state’s response to violence and expanded access to critical services for survivors in every corner of South Dakota
Today, The Network continues to serve as a vital resource for professionals working to end violence, providing training, technical assistance, and advocacy support while fostering the partnerships that make coordinated community responses possible.
